Short Bio

  • Lev Ratnovski is Senior Desk for the Euro Area at the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he was Lead Economist at the European Central Bank DG-Research and Senior Economist at the IMF Research Department, where he worked on a wide range of countries and policy areas. Beyond policy, Mr. Ratnovski has published extensively, including in the Review of Financial Studies, Review of Finance, and Journal of Financial Intermediation. Mr. Ratnovski started his career at the Bank of England after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam.
